How the heck did I get here, anyway?

People have been asking how BB and I got to the point we are BDSM/kink wise, and when I think of it, it's really been a journey! We're still on the journey, too, which is even better!

It was a developmental thing for us. We started off very vanilla, as BB wasn't very experienced when we met.

Over time, though... heh... Actually, we're not sure who corrupted whom.

We had been together for 3 or 4 years before we even brought home a vibrator! We always looked at porn together, and the bondage stuff began being a larger and larger part of what we liked.

We bought a few books to help us spice things up, "The Joy of Sex" and a couple of others. We would read "bedtime stories" that we'd printed out from the internet, and we'd read the sex books together.

I distinctly remember one day when we read about the use of silk scarves. I went to a garage sale the next day and came back with about 10 or 12 long scarves! We tried the light bondage thing (bind wrists with the scarves, use a scarf for a blindfold), and found that we liked it very much.

We played with others first after being together for 6 years, and the handcuffs I found myself in that night stepped up the bondage. I think that was partly the fact that I was surprised and forced into them (laughingly, not in a bad way at all) by our friend, not by BB. That was also the weekend I discovered that I am bisexual, so it was quite a trip!

We got the "comfy cuffs" with velcro and a long piece of ribbon. Those were good for tying me to the bed, and for being quick release. At this point, we discussed safewords. I pretty much said that pain was out of the question, and said that the safeword needed to be "ouch" or "stop!"

Later on, we discovered nipple clamps, and picked up a pair of the handcuffs (quick release again... I thought I was a wimp) with fur on them, and then eventually bought a blindfold, since we were tired of the scarf slipping!

After we moved to LA two years ago (we'd been together for over 10 years at this point), we went to Miss Kitty's Parlor, and I wore a collar and leash. It was mostly to be cute, but I ended up really liking that.
